The Standish Mine is an unknown, but surprising large mine located in Warwick NY. The Mine was worked prior to the 1880's by the Parrot Iron Company, which also owned many mines in Orange county NY.  It is situated atop of a remote region of the area, with the trek involving hiking through farmlands, forests, hills, and brush. The mine has a well built circular roadway going up to the top of Warwick mountain. The grounds featured numerous tailings, shafts, cuts, pits and an adit.

This mine has barely a mention in the historical books, but from the looks of it, was a significant undertaking. Stay tuned for future reports and updates on this mine.
