Pine Swamp Mine

The Pine Swamp Mine is in NY State. The mine features a large stope opening which can be entered. At the far end of the stope, there is a shaft at the top, which illuminates the mine. Towards the entrance there is a vertical shaft filled with water.

Not much is known of the mine, which was owned by the Parrott brothers. Finding it involves a strenuous hike over a mile into the hills of Harriman State Park.
