ABM Logo Pikes Peak & Longshore Mine

Pikes Peak and Longshore were 2 iron mines right at the southwest end of the Taylor and Buckwheat mines. The mines actually connected with each other underground at about a 110 foot depth.

The Pikes Peak Mine had a principle sloped shaft which was over 300 feet long. The Long shore mine was 100-200 some odd feet long. The entrance you see below may or may not be the sloped shaft, The sloped shaft may actually lie behind an iron door you see below..

Look up the side of the hill, ths entrance was here somewhere..

A pit.

Is this the 300 foot Pikes peak slope?

Maybe the slope lies behind this solid concrete structure,.. with an iron door!
